The Tucson Toros topped the Los Angeles Stars, 5-3, in Western Conference action at Aetna Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Tucson pitcher and Lafayette, Indiana, native Cody Sosnowski. The Toros now own a record of 56-78.

Tom Rosenfeld drew 1 walk for Tucson. The 26-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Mike Brambila. It was his 13th walk of the season.

"We think we're a good team overall, so we're not too surprised to win today," said Rosenfeld.
