Philadelphia Defeated By Juggernauts, 6-1
|
Pitcher Edwin Bonomi was sensational for the Toronto Juggernauts in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Philadelphia Spectres. Bonomi earned the win. With the victory, the Juggernauts record stands at 67-68.
Tillmam Velado had a big 2-run home run for the Juggernauts in the bottom of the first inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from Alberto Zamora, who is tied for 4th in the EC in quality starts with 16, and punished it. The result was his 42nd home run of the season, which put the Juggernauts on top, 3-0.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Velado. "More importantly, I had a good game."
