Wolves Pick Up 4-1 Win Over Chicago

Vancouver and Chicago got after it at Foster Field.
Starting pitcher Marvin Charnock had a solid game. He was a big reason the Vancouver Wolves throttled the Chicago Phantoms, 4-1. Picking up the save was Javier Piloto. He's now 15 for 18 in save chances.
Vancouver left fielder Dave Gandara contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 43rd hit of the season and put the Wolves ahead, 2-0.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Gandara told the Vancouver Herald.
The 4th-place Wolves improved to 51-84.
