Kodiaks Win Thriller, 10-8
The Alaska Kodiaks beat the San Diego Destroyers, 10-8, at Tundradome. The win was due in part to center fielder Jae-ho Choe, who went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win for the Kodiaks lifted their record to 69-66.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Alaska trailing 8-6, Choe jumped on a sinker from 30-year old left-handed pitcher Dave Gaytan and hit a grand slam home run to left. With one swing, the Kodiaks had a walk-off win.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Choe said.
