Greens Edge Harfangs, 6-5
|
Boston beat Montreal at Mount Royal Park, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Nestor Pena. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Hatsuhiko Saruwatari closed out the game, earning his 1st save. Boston is now 52-81.
Pena had a game-changing triple in the top of the sixth. On a 1-1 cutter from Fish Rablood, he banged a 2-run triple to center, giving the Greens a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd triple of the year for Pena.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Pena.
