Minneapolis Beats Portland in 11-Inning Thriller
The Minneapolis Vikings, despite a fine performance by Portland pitcher Tsunesaburo Kai, grabbed a 3-2 win in 11 innings at Portland Park. Kai allowed 2 runs over 5.2 innings. Jose Miera closed out the game, earning his 1st save. The Vikings saw their win-loss record go to 52-81. At the same time, the Dragons fell to 62-71.

Midori Morikawa had a direct impact on the outcome. Morikawa contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Minneapolis up, 3-2.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Morikawa told the Minneapolis Herald. "Whatever it takes."
