Late Magic Gets Denver 5-4 Win
|
In a close game at Mountain Dew Park, the Denver Glaciers edged the Los Angeles Stars, 5-4. Denver first baseman Migdônio Ervilhosa stood apart with his performance. He was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. The win for the Glaciers lifted their record to 77-55.
Pete Delzeit provided some late-game heroics for Denver. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a full count fastball from Ken Lambros and propelled Denver to a 5-4 lead.
"No time for flexing," said Ervilhosa. "It's always one game at a time."
