Arrows Come Back Late to Top Destroyers, 7-5
Don Zufelt did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the San Diego Destroyers from being beaten, 7-5, to the Seattle Arrows at Seaward Stadium. Zufelt was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Mike Hill was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 15 save opportunities. The 4th-place Arrows improved to 63-70.

Seattle took a 6-5 lead on Ricky Zika's 25th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Zika hit in the top of the ninth, left San Diego pitcher Julio Olivo visibly frustrated.

"It's a mindset," said Zika. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
