The Minneapolis Vikings and Phoenix Thunderbirds put on quite a show.
The Minneapolis Vikings beat the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 8-4, in 10 innings. Minneapolis right fielder Javy Trinidad, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Phoenix.
Gil Dugue came through with a big-time hit for Minneapolis. The center fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"A lot to like, just frustrated that we came up short," said Phoenix manager Joe Busch.
