Avispas Keep Streak Alive With 3-1 Win
|
The Philadelphia Spectres went down to defeat to Julius Miller and his Santiago teammates. The final score was 3-1, in favor of the Avispas. Jimmy Hsia picked up the save for Santiago, his 6th of the year. Now 77-54, the Avispas have won 10 in a row.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Yukichi Jimbo didn't flinch. With a runner on 1st and Philadelphia trailing 2-1, Jimbo retired Vincent Horvers to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Jimbo, with a wink.
