Juggernauts Score Late to Nip Browns, 2-1

Fisko Loera was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Brown Town. In fact, the Toronto Juggernauts right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-1 victory over the Brooklyn Browns. C.J. Neal, 2-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Julio Soto recorded his 21st save for Toronto.
Eddie Simon came through with a big-time hit for Toronto. The shortstop smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Toronto manager Marc Arnold.
Toronto now sits at 57-72, while Brooklyn falls to 71-58.
