Spectres Win, 6-5, at Montreal
|
Behind the bravura of right fielder Adam Stokes, the Philadelphia Spectres topped the Montreal Harfangs by the score of 6-5. Stokes went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs for the Spectres. Savino Dore earned the win for Philadelphia. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 8-11. The Spectres sport a record of 52-77.
Philadelphia used the bat of Alderaan Pike to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Spectres ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Stokes told the Philadelphia Daily.
