Arrows Slip Past Miami, 4-3
|
The Seattle Arrows did just enough to sneak past the Miami Cyclones, 4-3, at Power Ballpark. Seattle catcher Tom Schwartzmiller, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner was Seattle reliever Aaron Narduzzi, now 3-0. The loser was Bobby Edwards. Seattle is now 17-22.
Had Tim Thaxton not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Thaxton hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Arrows.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Schwartzmiller said.
