Kodiaks Take Down Wolves, 7-6
Vancouver first baseman Tony Bosques was sensational. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Alaska beat the Wolves, 7-6, in 11 innings. Alaska pitcher Jeff Amendola earned the win, hiking his record to 4-3. Rikio Kaneko suffered the loss. Alaska is now 64-65.

Shigenobu Shimamoto came through with a big-time hit for Alaska. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Shimamoto.
