The Buffalo Rangers wanted a good start from Mike Trice -- and he delivered one. The result was a 3-0 Buffalo win over the Brooklyn Browns at Brown Town. The winner was Trice. He threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Keaton Bozek. With the win, the Rangers sit at 64-64.

Buffalo used a clutch at-bat from Matty Hrinko to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"All in all, I thought Mike pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
