Harfangs Lose at Home, 3-2
|
The Philadelphia Spectres topped the Montreal Harfangs, 3-2, in Eastern Conference action at Mount Royal Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Philadelphia pitcher Tommy Pepper. Rafael Salabarria snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-2 on the season. Marco Ramirez suffered the loss. The save went to Alberto Zamora, his 28th this season.
Steve Bedoya, who is tied for 9th in the EC in triples with 4, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bedoya contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Philadelphia up, 3-2.
Bedoya called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Philadelphia is now 57-72, Montreal 71-56.
