Havana got a decent performance from pitcher Huggy Bruce, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Greens. Boston won the Arrington Park contest, 5-4. Bruce threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The win has Boston at 51-76.

Sando Torroais was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Boston. The 28-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Miguel Torrez. It was his 64th RBI of the season.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Torroais told a Boston News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
