Arrows Capture 9-5 Win at Staples Field
San Francisco third baseman Minoru Kume had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Kume was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Seattle beat the Friars, 9-5. Garrett Gutierrez recorded the save for Seattle, his 6th of the season. The Arrows are now 63-66, while the Friars fall to 67-62.

Seattle used a well-timed hit by Edgardo Rodriguez to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Arrows ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Rodriguez.
