Minneapolis Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Though he had a terrific game, Gurmu Jemadari could not prevent his team, the New York Titans, from absorbing a loss. Minneapolis won the game, 6-5. Jemadari went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. With this game in the books, Minneapolis is 76-51, New York 62-64.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Minneapolis third baseman Javy Trinidad, facing David Panther, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Vikings the 6-5 win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Trinidad said.
