The Montreal Harfangs defeated the Alaska Kodiaks, 6-4, in Eastern Conference action at Tundradome. Montreal pitcher Stuart Stephenson had a standout performance. Cursive DeMarco claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. Getting the save was Brenden Jayson, his 2nd.

Alrigo Dini went 1 for 3 for Montreal. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Andy Miao. It was his 13th RBI of the season.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Dini.

Today's win puts Montreal at 19-18, while Alaska falls to 24-15.
