Denver and Las Vegas duked it out and the Glaciers came out victorious.
Denver Glaciers pitcher Earl Starr was in fine form, leading his team past the Las Vegas Aces, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Starr, now 13-5. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Phil Payne was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.
Chris Eighmy, who is tied for 6th in the WC with a .941 OPS, had a direct impact on the outcome. Eighmy contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Denver up, 4-1.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
Denver is now 68-58.
