The Buffalo Rangers topped the Brooklyn Browns, 4-1, in Eastern Conference action at Brown Town. The standout performance belonged to Buffalo pitcher and Montreal, Canada, native Tom Thexton. The win for the Rangers lifted their record to 63-63.

Buffalo relied on the hitting of Willy Amavizca to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rangers on top, 2-0. For the game, Amavizca had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Thexton told the Buffalo News. "And padding the Buffalo win column."
