Washington Senators starter Dominic Hogg turned in a top-notch performance against the Tucson Toros at Aetna Stadium. The result was a win for the Senators, 3-0. Hogg yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-10. Earning his 25th save for Washington was Julio Mendoza.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for David Elizalde? The Washington catcher had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Senators on top, 3-0. For the game, Elizalde had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
