The Tucson Toros racked up a win at Polo Grounds II, bumping off the New York Titans, 4-2, in 11 innings. Ryan Lloyd, who started for Tucson, pitched effectively for his team. Edwin Castaneda earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 4-3. Tucson is now 52-73, while New York is 61-63.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Mario Flores? The 25-year old right fielder Flores stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 11th inning to put Tucson up, 4-2. For the game, he was 3 for 6, including 1 double and 2 singles.
