Toronto Sunk by Baltimore, 3-0
|
In a well-pitched game between the Baltimore Kings and the Toronto Juggernauts, pitcher Nestor Cantu was fantastic. The Baltimore right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-0. Ed Harrison, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The second-place Kings lifted their record to 17-22.
Marcos Galarraga hit a run-scoring double off Tom Jayne in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Kings in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Galarraga had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
Galarraga attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
