Despite a fine performance by left fielder Jose Gonzales, the San Diego Destroyers lost to the Vancouver Wolves, 6-3. Gonzales slugged 2 home runs. Justin Wicker earned the save, his 5th. The 4th-place Wolves improved to 62-64.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Allen Blagburn? The Vancouver designated hitter had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wolves on top, 4-2. For the game, Blagburn had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
