Wiegand goes 3-for-5 to Power Wolves Offense
Good production from second baseman Matt Wiegand helped the Vancouver Wolves topple the Portland Dragons, 6-5. Wiegand went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Wolves. Vancouver reliever Javier Piloto picked up the win, upping his record to 2-5. Willie Bravo shouldered the loss. The Wolves move to 53-73 with the win, while the Dragons drop to 78-48.

Wiegand came through with some timely hitting for Vancouver. With Portland trailing 5-2 in the top of the ninth, Wiegand hit a 1-0 fastball for a grand slam home run. His 15th home run of the season made it 6-5, Vancouver.

"Good win for us," said Wiegand. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
