Kodiaks Collect 6-3 Win Versus Tucson
|
The Alaska Kodiaks picked up a win at Aetna Stadium, downing the Tucson Toros, 6-3. On the mound for Alaska was right-hander Jairo Madueno, who played a pivotal role in the win. Andy Miao was credited with the save, his 8th in 10 tries. Alaska is now 64-61, Tucson 47-78.
Alaska used the hitting of Boyd Heath to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Kodiaks on top, 2-0. For the game, Heath had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Madueno.
