Twins Lose, 5-3, to Las Vegas
|
The Las Vegas Aces dealt the Cincinnati Twins a 5-3 loss at Cincinnati Grounds. Alex Jaurequi was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Arturo Covarrubias, who is tied for 9th in the WC in innings pitched with 157.0, was the winner. He's now 10-7. The loser was Abdi Bitok. Jason Mouland earned the save, his 26th in 29 tries.
Las Vegas used a clutch at-bat from Vicente Ramos to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Aces ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Jaurequi said after the game.
Las Vegas is now 66-58, Cincinnati 58-65.
