The New York Titans faced a tough opponent in Tucson pitcher Cody Sosnowski, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Polo Grounds II by a final score of 5-4 in 10 innings. Sosnowski went 5 innings and allowed no runs. New York pitcher Sergio Saldivar got the win. He's now 6-8. Shunsen Maekawa was tagged with the loss. New York has a record of 61-62, placing them third in the Eastern Conference Zounes Kamuzu Division.

New York got a clutch hit from Ryan Mellon. The second baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

Mellon said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
