The Boston Greens eked out a 3-2 win versus the Portland Dragons at Portland Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Steve McFarlen. He was terrific. Michiomi Kikuchi earned the save, his 2nd, for the Greens. After today's action, Boston sits at 14-22, while Portland falls to 19-19.

Boston took a 3-2 lead on Nestor Pena's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Pena hit in the top of the seventh, left Portland pitcher Bobby Edwards visibly frustrated.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Pena said.
