Destroyers Losers, 5-1, to Vancouver

The Vancouver Wolves took on the San Diego Destroyers at Seaward Stadium.
The Vancouver Wolves picked up a win at Seaward Stadium, knocking off the San Diego Destroyers, 5-1. On the mound for Vancouver was right-hander Danny Rangel. He played a key role in the triumph. Ruben Hernandez was credited with the save for Vancouver, his 5th of the season.
Early in the game, first baseman Er Hsiao had a 2-run home run for Vancouver. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Wolves on top, 3-1.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Hsiao told the Vancouver Bulletin. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
The Wolves saw their win-loss record go to 61-63. At the same time, the Destroyers fell to 61-63.
