St. Louis starter Carlos Yturralde ran into little resistance from Philadelphia hitters, as his team cruised to victory, 9-2. The win makes St. Louis 21-17.
Alex Pedraja went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for St. Louis. The 28-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Jeong Lee. It was his 28th hit of the season.
"We played hard and won," said Yturralde. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
