Gaedels Fall to Metropolitanos Late
In a tightly-contested game between the Havana Metropolitanos and the St. Louis Gaedels, pitcher Mayor Pardo was outstanding. The Havana right-hander propelled his team's 2-0 win. Victor Balaguer got credit for the save for Havana. It was his 14th of the year. Havana occupies first place in the Eastern Conference Solano Antas Division at 22-16.

Havana used a timely hit from Lien-ying Tsai to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Metropolitanos ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Tsai.
