The Los Angeles Stars got a superb performance from pitcher Cursive DeMarco, but the San Diego Destroyers still won the game, 4-3. DeMarco threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. San Diego reliever Miguel Soto picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Miguel Torrez was saddled with the loss. With the win, San Diego pushed its record to 70-54.
