San Francisco Gets 9-5 Win Versus Seattle in 10
|
It took 10 innings, but the San Francisco Friars were able to beat the Seattle Arrows, 9-5, at Power Ballpark. Felix Perez provided some offensive muscle for San Francisco. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. San Francisco is now 73-51, Seattle 57-67.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Amdre Ceclio came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Seattle pitcher Mike Hill, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting San Francisco on top, 5-4.
"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said Perez.
