Lobster Need Extra Innings to Top Browns, 4-1
|
The Lobster earned a hard-fought, 4-1 win in 10 innings at Ballpark of Portland. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Brooklyn pitcher Kurt Bozek. Bozek went 7.1 innings and allowed no runs. The Lobster saw their record improve to 48-74.
The decisive blow was delivered by Matthew Hinojosa in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 16-year veteran Jeff Boffa to win the game for Portland (E). The home crowd went nuts.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Hinojosa said. "And the same is true when you lose."
