The Phoenix Thunderbirds picked up a win at AT&T Park, knocking off the Baltimore Kings, 1-0. Starting pitcher Arturo Noboa played a key role in the triumph. Phoenix is now 64-57.
An impactful at-bat came in the top of the second inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the batter, Andy Alatriste, hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 1-0, Phoenix, and helped them go on to win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Baltimore skipper Brad Carpenter.
