The Tucson Toros topped the Baltimore Kings, 2-0, in Western Conference action at AT&T Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Tucson pitcher Miguel Moquete. Edwin Castaneda earned his 10th save in 11 tries. The 4th-place Toros now have a win-loss record of 50-71.

Tucson used a clutch at-bat from Jose Pedroza to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Toros ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Moquete attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."
