Titans Fall, 8-3, to Sosa, Athletics

The Kansas City Athletics stopped the New York Titans, 8-3, at Polo Grounds II. The Athletics got a big game from Henry Sosa, who went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Marco Moya earned the win. Tadeu Carneira, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2080, took the loss for New York. Kansas City is now 71-50.
Kansas City used a clutch at-bat from D.J. Trigg to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Athletics ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"No complaints from me," said Athletics manager Joe Monagle. "I like what I saw out there."
