Greens Lose to Juggernauts, 7-5
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toronto Juggernauts and Boston Greens.
The Toronto Juggernauts beat the Boston Greens, 7-5, at Molson Park. The Juggernauts got a fine performance from first baseman Danny Garcia, who went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Danford Brier. His record is now 7-14. The right-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Juggernauts. Getting the save was Young-pil Park, his 22nd.
In the first inning, Garcia had a bases-clearing double for Toronto. It was his 24th double of the season and put the Juggernauts on top, 3-0.
"We'll try to build on that win," Garcia told the Toronto Bulletin.
Toronto is now 59-61.
