The Miami Cyclones took Philadelphia pitcher Mike Colunga's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Sony Field at Philadelphia. The final score had Miami getting past the Spectres, 4-2. Colunga went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 11. The win went to Josh Hebrank in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Rigoberto Pita took the loss. The win makes Miami 75-45.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Henry McAfee was at the plate when Miami scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Cyclones to go in front, 3-2.
McAfee attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
