Destroyers third baseman Mauricio Medina put his stamp on his team's 7-2 win over the Minneapolis Vikings. Medina was 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for San Diego in the contest. Matt Rook, 8-5, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The win for the Destroyers lifted their record to 68-54.

San Diego used the timely hitting of Vance Kitchen to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Destroyers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is always a team effort," Medina said after the game.
