Rojas Homers Twice in 6-3 Friars Win
The San Francisco Friars beat the Alaska Kodiaks, 6-3, at Tundradome. Bobby Rojas, who is tied for 3rd in the WC in bases on balls with 82, starred for San Francisco. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Kelvin Vaquera picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 7-12. Cruz Ponce finished to wrap up his 9th save.

San Francisco used a timely hit from Hank Snook to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Friars ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Rojas.

The Friars raised their record to 64-58.
