Both teams had their chances, but the Las Vegas Aces eventually prevailed.

The Aces grabbed a win, 5-4, at Power Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Ricky Zika. Zika went 7.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Omer Kemperman came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-2. The save was credited to O-min Che, his 8th.

The result might have been different for Las Vegas, had it not been for Juan Gallegos, the 28-year old center fielder . Gallegos stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Las Vegas up, 5-4. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Seattle manager Jay Siber said following the tough loss.

The third-place Aces raised their record to 63-58.
