Bull goes 3-for-4 in Browns Win
Brooklyn took on Portland (E) in front of a lively crowd.

The Brooklyn Browns knocked off the Portland (E) Lobster, 8-1, at Ballpark of Portland. Chris Bull was a big reason Brooklyn won. The second baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Wade Belk, who finished 5th in the EC in strikeouts with 234 in 2073, was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed no runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts.

With Brooklyn leading 2-0 in the top of the sixth, Bull came up to bat against Portland (E) pitcher Norbert Maeda. Bull hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Browns on top, 6-0.

"I hope we get a nice reward for this win," said Bull. "Like maybe a lighter workout schedule."

The second-place Browns now have a record of 67-52.
