Brooklyn and Maine duked it out and the Browns came out victorious.

Brooklyn parlayed a decent outing from starter Alberto Vasquez into a solid win over the Maine Lobster. The final score was 5-3. Vasquez picked up the win for Brooklyn, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 8-6. Kyle Burch got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Zach Gavula had a big run-scoring double for the Browns in the top of the fourth inning. With Brooklyn leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a splitter from John Liberty, who led the WC in wins with 18 in 2080, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Browns ahead, 2-0.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Gavula.
