Thunderbirds Take Shellacking, Lose 14-2
|
The Brooklyn Browns captured an easy win, 14-2, over the Phoenix Thunderbirds at Legednary Park. Joe Bingham led the offensive barrage, going 4-for-5 for Brooklyn. Brooklyn has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.
Early in the game, second baseman Billy Buelna had a run-scoring double for Brooklyn. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Browns on top, 1-0.
"What a dreadful effort on our part," said losing manager Joe Busch. "Someone will need to scrape us off the pavement."
