Kodiaks Top Cyclones, 4-0, Behind Caro
|
The Alaska Kodiaks picked up a win at Tundradome, knocking off the Miami Cyclones, 4-0. Starting pitcher Jose Caro played a key role in the triumph. Eddie Izurieta earned the save for Alaska, his 4th of the year. Alaska is 58-61 and Miami, with the loss, 50-69.
The Cyclones had little chance against Caro, who overpowered Miami hitters and struck out 11.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Caro told the Alaska Daily. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
