In a tension-filled contest between the New York Titans and the Toronto Juggernauts, pitcher Salvatore Castellon was superb. The New York left-hander, who is tied for 6th in the EC in strikeouts with 136, spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. The winner in relief was Ray Menk. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-3. The defeat makes Toronto 50-68.

In the bottom of the sixth, DeMario Natividad delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the New York third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Titans in front, 2-0.

"I like what I saw today," said New York manager Nate Beckman, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
