Friars Reel Off Another Win
The San Francisco Friars extended their winning streak.

The Minneapolis Vikings could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Alex Mijangos into a win. Instead, the San Francisco Friars prevailed, 7-4. Mijangos threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Minneapolis, at 60-59, has lost 4 straight.

Had Chris Neri not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Neri hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Friars.
