Billy Zaffuto had a strong outing for the Las Vegas Aces against the Tucson Toros at Western Coliseum. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. J.P. McNealy converted his 12th save in 13 tries. Las Vegas has now won 9 straight.

Gabe Almanza had a big run-scoring double for the Aces in the bottom of the second inning. With Las Vegas leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Cody Sosnowski and swatted a double to left. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 2-0.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
