The Montreal Harfangs trumped the Portland Dragons, 8-2, at Portland Park. Montreal right fielder Sam Johnson was terrific. He went 2-2 with 2 singles and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs. Montreal pitcher Bill Snelgrove got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Tyler Garza got the loss. The Harfangs improved to 40-77.

Montreal used the bat of Joaquin Yanqui to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Harfangs ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

Johnson called the triumph "a good team win."
