Angels Get 2-1 Win Versus Phoenix
The San Antonio Angels locked up a win at Tesoro Stadium, knocking off the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 2-1. On the mound for San Antonio was right-hander Travis Sasson. He played a major role in the triumph. The last-place Angels bumped their record to 56-62.

Mike Angel went 2-2 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI for San Antonio. The 27-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Miguel Soto. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Sasson told the San Antonio Daily.
