Phantoms Trip Thunderbirds, 4-3, in Extra Innings

The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
The Chicago Phantoms picked up a win at Foster Field, knocking off the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Wade Belk. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The Phantoms improved their record to 61-57 with the win over Phoenix.
The decisive blow was delivered by Nala Forcelledo in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off three-time All-Star Cesar Lobatos to win the game for Chicago. The home crowd went nuts.
"Took some scratching and clawing," said Forcelledo. "But we got it done."
