Angels Get One-Run Win at San Diego
Danny Mathews, who is tied for 4th in the WC in wins with 4, was locked in. The right-hander led the San Antonio Angels to a 6-5 win against the San Diego Destroyers at Seaward Stadium. San Antonio is now 21-16.

In the top of the ninth, San Antonio shortstop Bitgaram Mangjeol had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and one out, Mangjeol stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 6-4, San Antonio. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Mathews said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
