Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Harfangs
The Portland Dragons could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Alex Guilzar into a win. Instead, the Montreal Harfangs prevailed, 10-9. Guilzar was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Montreal, at 60-56, holds down third place in the Eastern Conference Antonio Detorres Division.

Montreal used a clutch hit from Junpei Fujiwara to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Harfangs ahead, 10-9. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

"Crazy game," said Fujiwara after it ended.
