The Boston Greens finished off the Portland Dragons, 10-3. Much of the credit belonged to center fielder Zhong-shan Geng. Geng was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Greens. The third-place Greens go to 63-53.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when pinch hitter Xian-gan Sima, who finished 4th in the WC in doubles with 48 last year, hit a single. The Greens went on to win.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Boston skipper Matt Glazer.
