Riding the 3-hit performance of the 25-year old catcher Shane Ausmus, the Miami Cyclones defeated the Denver Glaciers, 5-1. The win puts Miami at 73-44 this season.

Miami took a 4-1 lead on Ausmus's 13th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Tetsukazu Kaneda in the top of the sixth, propelled Miami to the win.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
